About us

ASCP stand for Aircraft Schools Challenge Project and started in 2009 and concentrated on secondary schools in Flemish Brabant.

AMA stand for Aerospace Machining Academy started in 2012 and covers all aspect of technical education (secondary, bachelors and master students).

Our target is to

Reinforce cooperation between industry and education, and be best in class.

Improve cooperation between the participating schools.

Make teachers and students aware of the needs of industry on knowledge requirements, work attitude, production processes.

Challenge teachers and students, help in carrying out their tasks.

Involve students in the cooperation of manufacturing a set of production accessories for aircraft manufacturing. Let them realize that they are working together for an assembly.

Make technical jobs more attractive for students and parents.

With an average of twelve schools each school year we try with our partners to succeed in our mission by new technology, new materials and nice projects.

The schools taking part come from different Belgium provinces such as Flemish Brabant, Antwerp, East and West Flanders, and there are more willing to participate.

We offer students and teachers the chance to visit ASCO Industries and approximately 270 students/teachers yearly see how it really goes in a high tech aerospace company.

ASCP and AMA is supported by some highly motivated individuals, through their efforts and experience we succeed in above.
